Vicki Brault completed her 21st season as a collegiate head coach in the fall of 2011-12, including her 17th at Baldwin Wallace University. Coach Brault is one of the most successful coaches in Division III. Her teams have been successful in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference, in the Great Lakes Region and all of Division III.

In both 2000-2001 and 2004-2005, Coach Brault was named the OAC Coach of the Year. In 21 years overall, she has compiled an impressive career record of 397-282. It includes a 327-232 mark at Baldwin Wallace.

One of Brault's talents is to turn adversity into prosperity.  Three years ago, her 2009-10 squad had a rare 5-24 record. Then, in 2010-11, with an extremely young squad, she rebuilt the program back into a winner and the Yellow Jackets posted a 20-13 mark. This season (2011-12), Brault's squad continued to improve and advanced to the OAC semifinal and compiled an 18-13 slate against some of the best competition Division III can offer.

During her career, Brault has maintained the BW program as one of the best in Division III.

In 2006, Coach Brault's squad compiled an impressive 26-7 record and won an OAC regular season co-title. BW was nationally ranked for the ninth time since Brault came to Berea. She has led three teams to OAC regular season crowns (2001-2002, 2003-2004 and 2006-2007) and one team to an OAC Tournament title (2000-2001). Brault also has guided a pair of teams that have advanced to NCAA Division III National Tournament.

"Our program continues to have goals of winning an OAC title and participating in the NCAA Division III National Tournament with the ultimate goal of being an NCAA Division III National Champion," said Brault. "To do this each year, we know we must play against top-fight competition and be prepared to play well each day.

"We are both proud of the tradition that Marcia French began at Baldwin Wallace in the late 1960s, 70s and into the 1980s, and are equally proud of the success of our current teams," said Brault, who trails only French on the all-time Yellow Jacket career coaching list. "We know that we have a great challenge ahead of us each season in terms of playing both a competitive non-league schedule and in some outstanding tournaments and then competing in the OAC -- one of the best NCAA Division III conferences in the nation."

Prior to arriving in Berea, Coach Brault was a successful head coach at the Division III level at Claremont (Calif.) McKenna-Mudd-Scripps College for four years. Brault guided her teams to a 70-50 record, two Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and two appearances in the national tournament.

Coach Brault graduated from Western Michigan University and received her master's degree from Azusa Pacific University. In addition to coaching volleyball at Claremont McKenna-Mudd-Scripps, she was a physical education instructor and the head softball coach.

At BW, Coach Brault also serves as assistant coordinator for Student-Athlete Services.
