Their Conference Record to 3-0
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team extended their Ohio Athletic Conference winning streak today (Sept. 22) by defeating Wilmington College, 3-0.
With its win, the Yellow Jackets improved to 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the OAC. With the loss, Wilmington fell to 1-14 overall and 0-2 in the OAC. B-W won with scores of 30-16, 30-22, and 30-10.
Junior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) lead the team offensively with 11 kills and sophomore middle hitter Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) had 10 kills. Senior All-American setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/ St. Paul) recorded 28 set assists.
Defensively, junior libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/ Senior) recorded 19 digs and both sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./ West Catholic) and freshman defensive specialist Kenzie Martin (Centerburg) contributed 10. Martin and sophomore middle hitter Maria DePeters (Buffalo, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary Academy) added three service aces each.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Wooster, Ohio tomorrow (Sept. 23) to compete in the Wooster Tri-Match. They face the College of Wooster at 1:00 p.m. and Wittenberg University at 3:00 p.m.
