20th Ranked Baldwin-Wallace College Volleyball Team Defeats OAC Rival Otterbein College

BEREA, OHIO --  The 20th nationally ranked Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Otterbein College, 3-0 (30-26, 30-28, 30-28), tonight in Westerville. 

With the win, Baldwin-Wallace improves to 23-4 overall and 7-1 in the OAC, while Otterbein falls to 20-7 overall and 4-2 in the OAC.

On offense, Baldwin-Wallace was led by sophomore outside hitter Maria DePeters (Buffalo, NY/ Mt. St. Mary Academy) with 18 kills and junior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) with 10.  Senior All-American setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/St. Paul) accounted for 39 set assists. 

Defensively, the Jackets were led by junior libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/Senior) with 20 digs and Hills with 13.  Sophomore middle hitter Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) tallied six blocks and Camp added four.

The Yellow Jackets are idle this weekend, but will return to action when they travel to University Heights to take on cross-town OAC rival John Carroll University on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m.
