BEREA, OHIO -- The 19th national ranked Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team fell to Ohio Athletic Conference rival and nationally ranked No. 21 Ohio Northern University 3-2 (33-35, 28-30, 30-21, 30-25, 15-11) tonight in Berea.
With its first league loss, Baldwin-Wallace drops to 21-4 overall and 5-1 in the OAC, while ONU improves to 17-7 overall and remains undefeated at 5-0 in the OAC.
On offense, Baldwin-Wallace was led by junior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) with 18 kills and sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic) contributed 14. Senior All-American setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/St. Paul) accounted for 54 set assists.
Defensively, the Jackets were led by junior libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/Senior) with 43 digs and Selgo with 21. Sophomore middle hitter Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) and junior outside hitter Betsy Gilbert (Mansfield/Madison) both tallied six blocks a piece.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action when they host OAC foe Marietta College on Saturday October 14 at 1:00 p.m in Ursprung Gymnasium. B-W will honor the volleyball parents and senior All-American setter Angie Camp in her last home match as a Yellow Jacket.
