The Baldwin-Wallace College Volleyball Team Defeats Mount Union, 3-1,

and Improves to 13-2 Overall and a Perfect 4-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference

BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team defeated Mount Union College, 3-1, tonight (Tuesday, September 26) to retain a perfect 4-0 record in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

With its win, B-W improves to 13-2 overall, while the Purple Raiders fell to 14-6 overall and 0-2 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets won by the scores of 30-26, 30-22, 26-30, 30-24.

Junior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) led the B-W offense with 21 kills and senior All-American setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/ St. Paul) finished with 13 kills. Sophomore middle hitter Maria DePeters (Williamsville, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary Academy) and freshman defensive specialist Kenzie Martin (Centerburg) both had two service aces for the night.  Camp set up the offense with a team-best 43 set assists.

Defensively, Camp had 25 digs to lead B-W, junior libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/ Senior) finished with 24, sophomore outside hitter Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./ West Catholic) added 20 and  Hills had 17. Sophomore middle hitter Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) tallied four blocks.

B-W will play at The College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational Tournament Friday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and later in the day in the championship rounds.
