Match at The College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team ended pool play 3-0 at The College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational by defeating nationally-ranked College of Mt. St. Joseph 3-1.
The Yellow Jackets won 30-25, 31-32, 27-30, 30-23 and improve to 16-2 overall and 4-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while The College of Mount St. Joseph falls to 12-4.
Sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic) led the team offensively with 11 kills, while senior All-American setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/St. Paul) recorded 10 in addition to her 36 set assists and four service aces.
Defensively, junior libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/Senior) recorded a team-high of 30 digs and teammate junior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) contributed 29. Sophomore middle hitter Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) registered nine blocks, while Camp and sophomore middle hitter Maria DePeters (Williamsville, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary's Academy) both added six.
This evening (Sept. 30), the Yellow Jackets continue play at The College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational when they take on Ohio Northern University in the Championship Match starting at 5:00 p.m.
