Berea, Ohio -- The B-W Volleyball team defeated Capital University in a thrilling five game match (25-30, 30-22, 30-26, 19-30, 15-13).
The Yellow-Jackets started off at a slow pace but quickly changed things around after their first game. Freshman setter Nicole Igarashi (Eastlake/ North) led the team in set assists recording 64. Senior middle hitter Laura Leach (Norwalk/ Senior) led the Jackets in kills with an outstanding 23 kills. Defensivly, B-W was hitting the floor all night long with a team total of 137 digs. Four players, junior Emily Albanese (Mentor), freshman Meggie Martin (Bowling Green/ Senior), senior Kari Kuhn (Amherst/ Steele), and sophomore Kim Stoll (Norwalk/ St. Paul), all recorded at least 20 digs each. Stoll led the way with 29 followed by Martin with 25, Kuhn with 24, and Albanese with 20.
