Baldwin-Wallace Volleyball Team Falls to Seventh-Ranked Ohio Northern, 3-0, in Berea

BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team lost to seventh-ranked (AVCA) Ohio Northern University, 3-0, tonight (Tuesday, October 27, 2009) at Ursprung Gymnasium.

With the loss, B-W falls to 4-24 overall and 1-7 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. ONU improves to 24-3 and 6-2 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets wrap up the season versus Wilmington College this Saturday (Oct. 31) in Berea.
 
The Polar Bears defeated the Jackets by scores of 25-17, 25-9 and 25-11.

For B-W, sophomore Chelsea Nissen (Williston/ Genoa) led the attack with five kills and freshman setter Jessica Stitts (Eastlake/ North) totaled nine assists. Nissen also paced the defense with four digs while freshman Becky Palivoda (Burton/ Cornerstone Christian Academy) had four total blocks (one solo/three assist).
