With the loss, B-W falls to 3-8 on the season. With the win, Case improves to 6-2 on the year.
B-W was led offensively by junior middle hitter Abbey Thompson (Lorain/ Clearview) and sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Nissen (Williston/Genoa) with eight kills apiece. In addition, freshman setter Jessica Stitts (Eastlake/ North) recorded 13 set assists.
On defense, three players reached double-digits in digs. Freshman Alex Gbur (Toledo/Central Catholic) led with 14 digs, was followed by freshman Natalie Emmons with 11, and sophomore Amanda Mass (North Roaylton) with 10. Thompson led the team with three total blocks.
B-W will return to action Friday, September 18 when it travels to Salisbury College (Md.) to compete in the two-day Salisbury Seagull Classic. The Yellow Jackets open up against Haverford College (Pa.) at 4:00 p.m.
