BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team lost 3-0 to 19th- ranked (AVCA) Heidelberg University this evening (Tuesday, October 13, 2009) at Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin, Ohio.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 3-21 overall and 0-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Heidelberg improves to 20-4 and 5-0 in the OAC.
Heidelberg defeated the Yellow Jackets by scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-21.
Offensively, the Yellow Jackets were led by junior Abbey Thompson (Lorain/ Clearview) with five kills and junior setter Casey Passen (Ashville/Teays Valley) with nine assists.
Defensively, the Yellow Jackets were led by Passen with 11 digs and freshman Alex Gbur (Toledo/ Central Catholic) with nine.
The Yellow Jackets are back this Saturday, October 17 as they host Marietta College at 1:00 p.m. at Ursprung Gymnasium in Berea.
