Baldwin-Wallace College Volleyball Team Fell, 3-1, to Heidelberg College in Tiffin

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team fell, 3-1, to Heidelberg College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match tonight (Tuesday, October 2, 2007) in Tiffin.  Heidelberg won the match by the scores of 30-20, 30-28, 26-30 and 30-15.

With the loss, Baldwin-Wallace drops to 11-10 overall and 0-2 in the OAC, while Heidelberg improves to 18-4 overall and remains undefeated at 4-0 in the OAC. 

The Yellow Jackets were led offensively by senior All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/St. Ursula Academy) with 16 kills and junior middle hitter Maria DePeters (Williamsville, N.Y./Mt. St. Mary Academy) with nine kills.  Freshman setter Casey Passen (Ashville/Teays Valley) totaled 32 set assists. 

Defensively, B-W was led by senior three-year starting libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green/Senior) with team-high 20 digs, followed by Hills with 19. 

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Thursday (Oct. 4) when they host OAC rival and No. 22-ranked Capital University at 7:00 p.m. in the Ursprung Gymnasium of the Lou Higgins Center in Berea.
