The B-W Volleyball Team Defeats Centre (Ky.) College, Improving to 2-0 at the

Mt. St. Joseph Tournament

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team improved their record to 2-0 at the Mt. St. Joseph Invitational by defeating Centre (Ky.) College tonight (Sept. 30), 3-0. 

With the win, the Yellow Jackets are now 10-3 overall and 2-0 in tournament play while Centre drops to 6-11 overall and 0-1 in tournament play. B-W won the by the scores of 30-20, 30-12, and 30-26.

Sophomore Meggie Martin (Bowling Green) led the team to their second win of the day with 12 digs.  She was followed closely behind by senior All-OAC rightside player Emily Albanese (Mentor) who had 11 digs and junior setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/ St. Paul) added 10 digs.  Albanese also had nine kills and four service aces while Camp led the team with 42 set assists.   

Freshman Maria DePeters (Buffalo, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary Academy) led the team with a total of 13 kills while sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) had 10.  Sophomore defensive specialist Toni Ward (Mogadore/ Field) was second in service aces with a total of three while Martin and Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./ West Catholic) contributed two service aces each.

The Yellow Jackets return to action tomorrow (Oct. 1) in Cincinnati when they continue tournament play at the College of Mount St. Joseph Tournament. B-W's first game begins play at 1:30 p.m. against host school Mount St. Joseph followed by the consolation/championship rounds later that evening.
