With its win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-2 overall. B-W beat Carnegie Mellon 30-21, 30-15, and 31-29.

Freshman Maria DePeters (Buffalo, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary Academy) led the Yellow Jackets offensive attact with 11 kills. DePeters was followed by junior Emily Albanese (Mentor) with ten kills and sophomore Kelsey Hills (Toledo/ St. Ursula Academy) with 7 kills. Also on the attacki, junior Angie Camp (Norwalk/ St. Paul) recorded an impressive 35 set assists and freshman Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./ West Catholic) recorded three service aces.

On the defensive side, sophomore Meggie Marten (Bowling Green) led the way with 13 digs followed by Albanese  with nine, Camp with seven, and Selgo with seven. DePeters led the way in blocks with a total of eight, followed by Camp with seven. and freshmen Maria DePeters (Buffalo, N.Y./ Mount St. Mary Academy), Brooke Hinkle (Wellington) and Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./ West Catholic) led the Yellow Jacket attack with 11 kills each.

The Yellow Jackets continue their play in the eight-team Marcia French Memorial Tournament in the Ursprung Gymnasium this evening when they play Univeristy of Wisconsin - Whitewater at 7:00 p.m., then on saturday the action will resume with pool play at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and the championship rounds are at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
