The Baldwin-Wallace College Volleyball Defeats Case, 3-1, in University Circle
UNIVERSITY CIRCLE, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team defeated Case, 3-1, tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 14) at the Veale Center in University Circle.
With the win, the Yellow Jackets are now 7-3, while Case drops to 2-7. B-W won the by the scores of 30-28, 30-20, 25-30, and 30-27.
Freshman Rachel Selgo (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic) led the team with 16 kills and was also second on the team in digs with 21. Sophomore Betsy Gilbert (Mansfield/Madison) was second on the team with 12 kills while freshman Maria DePeters (Buffalo, NY/Mount St. Mary Academy) added 11.
Junior setter Angie Camp (Norwalk/ St. Paul) had a team-leading 52 set assists and sophomore libero Meggie Marten (Bowling Green) had a team-high 35 digs. Camp and sophomore Toni Ward (Mogadore/Field) both added 17 digs.
The Yellow Jackets will be in action on September 27 when they open conference play against OAC foe Otterbein. The match will be held at 7 pm at Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium.
