Baldwin-Wallace College Freshman Julie Stancliff Finishes 16th in the One-Meter

Dive at the 2004 NCAA Championship Meet; The Three-Meter Event is on Saturday

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College freshman diver Julie Stancliff (Erie, Pa./ McDowell) scored 292.75 points and placed 16th in the one-meter diving event at the 2004 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship Meet at Principia (Ill.) Stancliff, the Ohio Athletic Conference champion in the one and three-meter events and the 2004 OAC Female Diver of the Year, was competing in her first national meet.

"Julie performed very well for her first national meet," said fifth-year Yellow Jacket Head Coach Mike Gallagher.  "Her positive attitude, strong work-ethic and determination have brought her to compete at the national level.  Today's experience will also help Julie on Saturday whe she competes in the 3-meter event.  We are all very proud of her."
