B-W's Julie Stancliff Earned All-American Honors at the NCAA Championships

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College freshman diver Julie Stancliff (Erie, Pa./ McDowell) earned All-America Honors in the one-meter diving event by placing 16th with 292.75 points and 22nd in the three-meter diving event with 266.30 points at the 2004 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship Meet at Principia (Ill.) College.  

Stancliff, the Ohio Athletic Conference champion in the one and three-meter events and the 2004 OAC Female Diver of the Year, did very well competing in her first national meet. "Julie had a great first year of college", said fifth year head swimming and diving coach Mike Gallagher. "Making it the   NCAA Championships in any sport is very admirable. I know that she will continue to improve throughout her diving career. Bob Fortune, the team, and myself are very proud of her accomplishments."

The yellow jacket swimmers and divers will celebrate another successful season at the annual honors banquet on April 3, 2004 at 12 noon in the College Union Ballroom.
