Baldwin Wallace Swimming and Diving Teams Both Fall to Visiting Ohio Wesleyan
BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each lost in dual meet competition tonight (Friday, January 13, 2012) to visiting Ohio Wesleyan University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

The Battling Bishop men defeated the Yellow Jacket men, 126-109, and the OWU women beat the BW women, 141-89.
With the losses, the Yellow Jacket women are now 3-4 overall and the men are 2-5 overall. The squads return to action next Friday, Jan. 20 in dual meet competition at Hiram College at 6:00 p.m.
The Yellow Jacket men were led by sophomore Patrick Donohoe (Columbus/ Bishop Watterson) who won the men’s 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:22.62, the 200-yard butterfly in 2:04.18 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.28.
In addition to Donohoe, senior Nic Null (Shelby/ Mansfield St. Peters) won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.12 seconds and the 100-yard free in 49.22 seconds. Junior diver Tony Tijerina (Defiance/ Napoleon) placed first in both diving events, winning the 1-meter voluntary event with 167.0 points and the 1-,meter optional event with 250.87 points.
The BW women were led by sophomore Angela Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) who placed first in the 400 IM in 4:58.85 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:29.79. In addition, sophomore Caitlin Wilson (Wycombe,Pa./ Council Rock North) won the 1000-yard free in 11:45.02 and sophomore Emma Gerdes (Avon/ Senior) won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:15.38.
Following the meet at Hiram on Jan. 20, the Yellow Jackets are back in action the next day, Saturday, Jan. 21 when they host Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern University at 1:00 p.m. on Seniors’ & Parents’ Day.
