BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished their season at the annual Case Western Reserve Invitational today(February 19, 2005).
Leading the way for the Yellow Jacket women's team was senior Kristen Showalter (Bowling Green) who finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.45. Freshman Erica Brubach (Powell/Olentangy) placed sixth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.91) and placed sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (59.23). Sophomore Sara Gombash (Perrysburg/Notre Dame) placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:22.75.
For the men, senior Keith DeVore (Mansfield/Ontario) recorded a personal best time in the 200-yard individual medley with time of 2:10.22 which placed him third over-all. Freshmen Jeremy Szabo (Parma) placed fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (59.61) and Dave Fournier (Perrysburg) placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.94.
This was the final meet of the season for the Yellow Jacket swimmers and divers.
