Yellow Jacket Men Second, Women Sixth on Day One of SUNY-Fredonia Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed on day one of the SUNY-Fredonia (N.Y.) Invitational this evening (Friday, December 4, 2009) in Fredonia, New York. The B-W men are second and the women are sixth of 10 teams competing.

Day two of the invite begins with 10:00 a.m. prelims tomorrow. Finals will begin at 5:00 p.m.

B-W's top performances on day one come on the men's side. Junior Ryan Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) was second in the 50-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 22.34 and sophomore Nic Null (Shelby/ Mansfield St. Peter's) was fifth in 22.90. The 400-yard medley relay team of freshman Louis Runge (Avon), Musille, junior Matt Diamond (Ashtabula/ Lakeside) and Null finished third in 3:47.06.

Following day two tomorrow, the Yellow Jackets close out the weekend at SUNY-Fredonia on Sunday with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 4:00 p.m.
