Julie Pinter's Academic Success: As a sophomore in 2010-2011 and as a junior in 2011-12, Julie was honored as a NCAA Swim Coaches Association Scholar All-American. Julie is a member of the Dean’s List, Alpha Lambda Delta (Freshman) and Chi Sigma Alpha (Athletics) honor societies, and is a Jacket Scholar. Julie Pinter's Record of Success: Julie owns every Yellow Jacket diving record, is a 6-time NCAA Division III All-American, including the runner-up in the 1-meter event (2012), is a 6-time OAC champion and 3x OAC "Diver of the Year". She has been an OAC Athlete of the Week six times. 2011-12 Notes: As a junior in 2011-12, Julie completed in her third season of diving and earned her third varsity letter. She earned OAC Swimmer of the Week honors on January 23, 2012 for her efforts in meets versus Hiram and ONU. She was named as the OAC Swimmer of the Week for the second straight week for her efforts in meets at CWRU and JCU. At the 2012 OAC Championships, Julie won the the 1-meter and 3-meter events and was named the OAC Diver of the Year for the third straight season. Julie also became a six-time NCAA Division III All-American by placing as the national runner-up in the 1-meter event and finished fourth in the 3-meter event 2010-11 Notes: Julie earned her second varsity letter as a sophomore. She placed sixth at the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet in the 3-meter diving event when she scored a school-record 464.15 points. Her 464.15 points broke her previous school-record of 446.92 points and was the third highest total at a Div. III national meet. She also placed sixth in the 1-meter event and earned All-American honors in both diving events. Julie set a school-record in the 1-meter optional diving event with a 259.50 point total in a dual meet win versus Penn State Behrend in Berea and was subsequently named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Female Swimming Athlete of the Week on Nov. 8. Julie again was named as the OAC Female Swimming Athlete of the Week on Nov. 15. She set the school-record in the 1-meter optional diving event at ONU with 287.20 points and was named as the OAC Female Swimming Athlete of the Week for the third time this season...Selected to the 2010-11 Academic All-OAC At-Large team...Selected to 2010-11 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV second-team. 2009-10 Notes: Julie earned first varsity letter as a freshman...became only the second athlete in B-W swimming & diving history to earn multiple All-American awards...placed fifth on the three-meter board (435.30 points) and sixth on the one-meter board (400.55) at the Division III National Championship meet...named the Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the Year after winning the one-meter dive with an OAC-record score of 448.80 points and placing second in the three-meter dive (421.80) at the conference championship meet...set school-records in the one-meter (467.53) and three-meter (446.92) championship events versus John Carroll on January 30, 2010...set school-record in the one-meter optional dive of 252.45 points...established B-W pool records of 251.60 points in the one-meter optional dive and 426.40 in the one-meter championship dive...named OAC Female Swimming Athlete of the Week on February 1, 2010. |
