Baldwin-Wallace Junior Todd Richert Named OAC Diver of the Week for Sixth Time in Career


Richert won all three of his diving events this
past weekend.

BEREA, OHIO – Baldwin-Wallace College junior four-time All-American diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for his performance in two meets this past weekend. The weekly honor is the sixth in Richert’s career. 

Richert won all three events he competed in during dual meets on Friday (January 22) and Saturday (January 23).

Versus Hiram College on Friday night, he won the one-meter voluntary dive with 299.70 points. Versus rival Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon, he won both the one-meter optional (173.65 points) and one-meter voluntary (287.80 points).

Richert owns every school diving record and has earned All-America honors in both the one and three-meter dives in each of the last two seasons. He also is provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship Meet this season.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, January 29 versus Allegheny (Pa.) College on Seniors’ Night at 6:00 p.m. at the B-W Natatorium in Berea.
