B-W Divers Todd Richert and Julie Pinter to Compete at DIII Nationals on March 17-20 in Minnesota

Todd Richert picked up two more
All-America awards at last year's
championships.
BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College four-time All-American junior diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) and freshman diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville) will compete at the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet that will be held March 17-20 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Richert has competed at DIII Nationals in each of the last two years and has earned All-America honors twice during each trip. As a sophomore last season, Richert placed sixth in the one-meter event and 14th in the three-meter. As a freshman in 2007-08, he was 12th on the three-meter board and 13th on the one-meter. He is the only athlete in the history of the B-W swimming & diving program to earn multiple All-American awards. This season, Richert won the one and three-meter titles at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships and was named the OAC's Men's Diver of the Year for the second time in his career. Richert owns all five of the program's diving records including the one-meter (510.20 points) and three-meter (527.47) championship events.
The men's three-meter dive is scheduled for Wednesday, March 17 and the one-meter event is set for Friday, March 19. Finals for each event begin at 6:00 p.m.
Pinter has had an outstanding freshman campaign. At the conference championship meet, she won the one-meter dive with an OAC-record score and placed second in the three-meter dive en route to being named OAC Women's Diver of the Year. Pinter also set school-records in the one-meter (467.53) and three-meter (446.92) championship events in B-W's regular season finale.
The women's one-meter dive is scheduled for Thursday, March 18 and the three-meter event is set for Saturday, March 20. Finals for each event begin at 6:00 p.m.
