The team served and shared breakfast with families whose young children are patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or are surgery patients at the Cleveland Clinic. Typically, the families cannot afford to stay in hotels or are unable to travel back and forth due to health reasons.
“Our kids really enjoyed their time at the Ronald McDonald House, and most importantly, the families truly appreciated it” said B-W Head Coach Sara Gildea. “These families are stuck in the same building for most of the day and it’s nice to be able to come in and provide any type of entertainment for them.”
The Yellow Jacket squads open their season on October 17, 2008 in Wheeling, West Virginia but will be making several more trips to the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House in November and December.
