Baldwin-Wallace College Senior Forward Erika Schultz Named as the OAC

Women's Basketball Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College senior forward Erika Schultz (Waterville/ Anthony Wayne) has been named as this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in last Tuesday's 77-62 victory against Wittenberg University in Springfield.

Schultz, a four-year starter for the 22nd-ranked Yellow Jackets, recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. She also added two assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Schultz shot .58.3 percent from the floor as she canned seven of 12 shots and 71.4 percent from the foul line on five of seven attempts.

After three games, Schultz is second on the team in scoring for the unbeaten and 3-0 Yellow Jackets with 16.7 points per game and first with 8.7 rebounds an outing. Overall, the 5'11" health and physical education major is shooting 54.3% from the floor and 84.6% from the foul line. She has also contributed six assists, four steals and three blocked shots.

The Yellow Jacket women will be back in action this Thursday, December 4, when they travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania to play Grove City College at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, B-W opens OAC play in Westerville against Otterbein College at 3:00 p.m.
