Gary Saunders

Gary Saunders is entering his fourth season as an assistant softball coach at Baldwin Wallace in 2012-2013.  He is a member of the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.

In three seasons with the Yellow Jacket program, including this season's current 28-11 overall record, Coach Saunders has helped BW compile an outstanding 75-44 record with a .630 winning percentage.

Saunders came to BW from Highland High School, where he compiled a 35-17 record in two seasons as head coach. He became the first coach in Highland history to post two consecutive seasons of at least 15 wins.

Prior to coaching at Highland, Saunders spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Keystone High School team that captured the 2006 Division II State Championship. Saunders recently started the McMadness summer travel organization and serves as an instructor at the Brunswick Batcage.

He is the father of former BW outfielder Chelsea Saunders.
