BEREA, OHIO -- Two standout Baldwin-Wallace College softball student-athletes, senior centerfielder Tanya Davis (Hinckley/ Medina Highland) and senior first baseman Katrina Resek (Strongsville), have been named to the 2011 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Softball Team.

The duo helped the Yellow Jackets to win their first Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Championship, advance to NCAA Division III Central Region Tournament for the second time in school history (1992) and to tie the school single-season record for wins with 28 (1992 and 2001).

Davis, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in pre-physical therapy and athletic training, earned her third Academic All-OAC selection for carrying  a 3.93 grade point average. Miller and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies. She was tabbed this year as the OAC’s female Clyde Lamb Award winner for B-W. She was honored for her excellence off of the field by being named the recipient of the Bonnie Raye Scholar/Athlete Award and the Dr. Robert H. Lechner Memorial Service Award.
