Two Baldwin-Wallace College Softball Players Named to the 2005 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Teams

BEREA, OHIO -- Two Baldwin-Wallace College softball players were named to the 2005 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams for their efforts this spring.

Senior pitcher/first baseman Jeanette Brezina (Parma Heights/ Valley Forge) and junior two-time All-American catcher Nicole Loudin (Sheffield Lake/ Elyria Catholic) were both selected second-team All-OAC. The Yellow Jackets finished the season with a 17-19 overall record and 9-9 in the OAC.

Brezina was tabbed as a utility player and batted .294 with 18 runs scored, six doubles and 11 RBI. On the mound, she finished with a 9-9 overall record and a 3.09 ERA including 63 strikeouts in 117 and two-thirds innings pitched. She appeared in 19 games including 18 starts and 18 complete games.

Loudin topped the team in batting average at .344 and led it in runs scored (26), homers (five), slugging average (.563) and bases on balls drawn (11). She was second on the team in RBI (15) and walks drawn (11). After three seasons in the Brown & Gold, Loudin is batting .388 with a B-W career-record 26 homers and 90 RBI.
