B-W Softball Coaches Named Ohio Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the YearBEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College Head Softball Coach Tom Spencer and his outstanding staff of assistant coaches, Joe Yocabet and Gary Saunders, have been named as the 2010-11 Ohio Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year. B-W Beats ONU in OAC Softball Championship Game, 2-1, in Nine Innings on Feciuch HomerunADA, OHIO – The third-seed Baldwin-Wallace College softball team defeated top-seeded Ohio Northern University, 2-1 in nine innings, today (Saturday, May 7) in the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Game at the ONU Softball Field in Ada to capture the 2011 OAC title. The Yellow Jackets won the game and their first-ever OAC softball crown when freshman shortstop Lauren Feciuch (Kent/ Field) hit a walkoff homerun with two outs in the ninth. (Complete Release) |

Five B-W Softball Players Selected All-OAC and Murray is the Rookie of YearBEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College softball team placed five student-athletes, including four freshmen, on the 2011 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. The Yellow Jackets ended their regular season with a 27-9 overall mark, placed third during the OAC regular season and won the OAC Tournament. Now the Yellow Jackets must await a Monday decision by the NCAA Division III National Selection Committee as to whether B-W will be invited to the national tourney. (Complete Release) |
