Track Teams Compete at the Tiffin Twilight Open Meet

BEREA, OHIO — Select members of the men's and women's track teams competed at the Tiffin University Twilight Open Meet.  The men and women each had one individual champion.

Highlighting the meet for B-W was senior Jon Shoffstall (Lakeview/Indian Lake) who won the hammer throw with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 177'03".  He was also the runner-up in the discus with a toss of 143'05". 

For the women, sophomore Mandy Quisno (Oak Harbor) won the shot put with a throw of 37'9.25".  In the same event, junior Kim Lammers (Liberty Center) finished third with a toss of 36'10.5".  In the discus, junior Amy Mauceri (Solon) was the runner-up with a heave of 116'04" and Quisno was third with a throw of 115'05".  Finally in the javelin, junior Jessica Bukowski (Newcastle, Pa./Neshananook) placed second with a throw of 94'0" and Quisno was third with a mark of 77'05".

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action tomorrow Saturday, March 26 when they travel to New Concord, Ohio to compete in the annual Muskingum Invitational.  Events begin at 11 a.m.
