BEREA, OHIO -- Select members of the Baldwin-Wallace track and field team compete at the North Central (Ill.) College "Last Chance" Meet May 15-18, 2007 in Naperville, Illinois.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, freshmen Steven Price (North Olmsted) and Kareem Ibrahim (North Olmsted competed in the decthalon. Price finished in eighth place with 5,520 points and Ibrahim finished 14th with 4,182 points.
On Thursday evening, senior Steve Johnson (Canton/Central Catholic) finished tied for eighth in the pole vault with a height of 14'7.25".
On Friday, sophomore Ashley Scullion (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) finished fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:37.09 and junior Megan Cathcart (Parma/Senior) finished tied for third in the high jump with a season-best jump of 5'00.25".
The North Central meet officially ends the regular season and those who have qualified for nationals will be heading to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship meet beginning on Thursday, May 24 and ending on Saturday, May 26. The NCAA will annouce the field for the upcoming championship on Monday, May 21.
