Paulsen Finishes in 10th Place in the Heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championship

BEREA, OHIO -- Junior Kristen Paulsen (Oberlin/Firelands) finished in 10th place in the heptathlon today (May 25, 2007) as she finished with a career-high 4,531 points at the 2007 NCAA Division III National Track and Field Championship Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Today, Paulsen started the day in 12th place, but moved up two places as she jumped 16'2.25" in the long jump, throw the javelin a career-best 119'9" and ran the 800-meter run in a season-best 2:33.64.

Yesterday, she ran the 100-meter hurdles in a career-best time of 14.77 seconds, the 200-meter dash in 26.96 seconds (.03 off of a career-best), had a height of five-feet and one-quarter inch in the hight jump and a career-best throw of 31'4" in the shot put.
