Baldwin-Wallace College Men’s Tennis Team Falls, 5-4, to Malone College

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men’s tennis team fell, 5-4, to Malone College tonight (Saturday, February 9, 2008) at the North Ridge Racquet Club in North Ridgeville. B-W opened the day by beating Penn State Behrend College, 9-0, this afternoon at the Paramount Tennis Club in Medina, Ohio
 
For the Yellow Jackets in singles play, senior number one player James Daly (Akron/Firestone), won his match, 6-4, 6-1and freshman No.6 player Sam Burris (Wooster/Senior) won, 6-1, 6-0. For Daly, his victory was the school-record 83rd of his career.
 
In doubles play, the No.1 duo of Daly and junior Jim Kucera (Mentor) won their match, 8-4, and the No.2 tandem of freshmen Tyler Adams (Wheelerburg) and Matt Lachman (Cleveland Heights/St. Edward) won, 8-3.
 
The Yellow Jacket men are idle until next Saturday, Feb. 16 when they host cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University at Paramount at 1:00 p.m. and then play a nightcap match against Notre Dame College at 6:30 at North Ridge.
