BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men’s tennis team was defeated today (Saturday, February 16, 2008) by Case Western Reserve University, 7-2, at the Paramount Tennis Club in Medina, Ohio. The loss dropped the Yellow Jackets to 1-2 overall.
In singles play, senior number one singles player James Daly (Akron/ Firestone) recorded a win over CWRU’s Joe Smetona. Daly won the first game before Smetona retired. In doubles action, the No. one doubles team of Daly and junior Jim Kucera (Mentor) defeated Kenneth Nguyen and Adam Erickson, 8-2.
The Yellow Jacket men will next play tonight against Notre Dame College of Ohio at North Ridge Racquet Club at 6:30. Following that match the team will host Defiance College at the Paramount Tennis Club.
