BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men's tennis team loss to Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern University, 8-1, today (Wednesday, April 18, 2007) at the University Courts in Ada.
With its loss, B-W is now 18-2 overall and 6-2 in the OAC. With its win, ONU improves to 10-6 overall and 7-1 in the OAC.
In singles play, junior James Daly (Akron/ Firestone) won his match at no. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
With his win, Daly is now 23-2 this season and 74-7 in his career in singles play (a .913 winning percentage) and is five wins shy of tying Mike Wagner's (2000-2004) all-time school-record of 79 career wins. He has won 11 straight matches this season.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, April 21 when they end their OAC regular season by hosting Wilmington College at 1:00 p.m. The final regular season match is Monday, April 23 against Malone College at 3:30 p.m.
