BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men's tennis team continued its winning ways by defeating Oberlin College, 5-4, today (Friday, March 16, 2007) at the John W. Heisman Field House in Oberlin.
With its victory, B-W improved to 12-0 overall. Oberlin dropped to 6-2 this season
In the win over Oberlin, number one singles player junior James Daly (Akron/ Firestone) and sophomore No. 6 player Zach Long (Ashland/ Senior) both won in singles play as the Yellow Jackets were behind in the match, 4-2, heading to doubles play.
In doubles, the No. 1 tandem of Daly and sophomore Jim Kucera (Mentor), the No.2 duo of senior Ryan McCartney (Lorain/ Admiral King) and freshman Andy Red (Archbold) and the No.3 duo of Long and senior Dan Mitoff (Lorain/ Admiral King) all won. Long and Mitoff earned the winning point in the match.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Saturday, March 24 when they travel to New Concord to play OAC foe Muskingum College at 1:00 p.m.
