BW Men's Tennis Team Defeats Muskingum, 7-2, to Improve to 13-0 Overall and 1-0 in the OAC

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men’s tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Muskingum College, 7-2, today (March 25, 2007) in New Concord.

With their win, the Yellow Jackets improve this season to 13-0 overall and 1-0 in the OAC. With its loss, Muskingum fell to 5-3 overall and 0-1 in the OAC.

In its win versus Muskingum, junior number one singles player James Daly (Akron/ Firestone), No.2 player and senior Ryan McCartney (Lorain/ Admiral King), freshman No.4 player Zach Apperson (Zanesville/ Rosecrans), sophomore No. 5 player sophomore Jim Kucera (Mentor) and sophomore No. 6 player Zach Long (Ashland/ Senior) all won in singles play.

In doubles, the No. 1 tandem of Daly and Kucera, and the No.3 duo of freshman Dan Mitoff (Lorain/ Admiral King) and Long both won.

The Yellow Jackets are idle until Wednesday, April 4 when they host OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at the "Pop" Collins Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
