The 2011-12 Clyde Lamb Award Winner: Baldwin Wallace University senior standout men's tennis student-athlete Alex Trzeciak is the school's 2011-12 Men's Clyde Lamb Award Winner to the Ohio Athletic Conference. This award symbolizes BW's Most Outstanding Male Student-Athlete. Academic Excellence: Alex was named an Academic All-OAC At-Large and received the Wall Street Journal Business Award as a sophomore. He is also a member of the Chi Alpha sigma and Alpha Lambda honor societies. Alex is a Jacket Scholar and Dean's List student carrying a 3.686 grade point average. As a junior, Alex was awarded the Toni and Max Dehn Prize in Mathematics and was named to the Academic All-OAC at-large team. Alex also was named as a Scholar-Athlete by ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association). 2011-12 Notes: As a senior, Alex is competing in his fourth season of tennis. He is a team captain and plays both number one singles and number one doubles. He was named as the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 26 for his efforts in a 9-0 shutout victory against Otterbein University. 2010-11 Notes: As a junior, Alex played in his third season of tennis and earned his third varsity letter. He spent the entire season as the No. 1 singles player and combined with then freshman Brad Minrovic as the No. 2 doubles tandem for the majority of the season. He was named to the OAC first team for his efforts during the Fall and Spring. In singles play, Alex was tied for team best with a record of 22-5, while in doubles play he went a combined 20-8. Going into his senior year Alex was tied for 11th All-Time in singles victories with 61. Alex was also selected to the 2010-11 Capital One Academic All-District IV second-team. 2009-10 Notes: As a sophomore, Alex competed in his second season of tennis. In singles, Alex was primarily used as the No. 1 player and compiled a record of 17-8. In doubles play, Alex was part of the No. 2 tandem and had a combined record of 19-7. For his efforts, he was named to the 2010 All-OAC first team 2008-09 Notes: As a freshman, Alex played his first season of tennis and earned his first varsity letter. In singles, Alex saw time as the No. 3 and 4 player and compiled a 22-3 overall record, including 18-0 as the No. 4 player. In doubles, Alex finished 18-5 overall on the season. for his efforts, alex was a second team All-OAC selection. |
