No. 11 B-W Men’s Soccer Team Shuts Out Mount St. Joseph 6-0, For Ninth Straight Victory

BEREA, OHIO -- The No. 11- nationally-ranked Baldwin-Wallace College men’s soccer team (NSCAA Division III Coaches poll) shutout the College of Mount St. Joseph, 6-0, tonight (Tuesday, September 27, 2011) in a non-conference match on Tressel Field at The George Finnie Stadium. This was the second game of a men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader. In the first game, the B-W women shutout St. Vincent (Pa.) College by a final score of 3-0.
In the first half, B-W scored a season-high six goals in a half and for a game. The Yellow Jackets got two goals from each junior midfielder Pat Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) and freshmen Trey Arney (Coshocton) and Mike Womack (Mentor), who each recorded their first career scores.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action this Saturday, October 1 when they play host to the Pioneers of Marietta College in the second game of a men’s and women’s Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader at 3:30 p.m. are The women kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
