2011-12 Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award: Carlin Vandendriessche is the recipient of the 2011-12 Baldwin-Wallace College Kennth Steingass Most Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award. It is the highest award given to a Yellow Jacket athlete. The All-Time Leading Scorer in School History: Carlin is the all-time leading scorer in school history. He ended his career with 46 goals and 10 assists for 102 career points. His 46 goals and 102 points are B-W school records. 2011 NOTES: As a senior in 2011-12, Carlin played his fourth season of soccer and earned his fourth varsity letter. The four-year starter at forward played in 22 games, scored 16 goals, had five assists and scored 37 points as he helped lead B-W to the 2011 NCAA Division III National Tournament. He received first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and first-team Ohio Soccer Coaches Association (OSCA) Division III All-Ohio honors and was tabbed as a second-team All-Great Lakes Region player by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Carlin also was twice selected as the OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week. 2008 NOTES: As a freshman in 2008-2009, Carlin played in his first season of soccer and earning his first varsity letter. Carlin appeared in 19 games and scored a team high nine goals on 35 shots and added one assist for the 12-6-1 Yellow Jackets. He also lead the team in total points with 19. Carlin helped B-W to tournament titles at the Penn-State Behrend and OAC/MIAA Invitational. For his efforts, Carlin was named second-team all-Ohio Athletic Conference. |
