B-W Men’s Soccer Senior Jeff Grater Named to NSCAA Scholar All-America Team

BEREA, OHIO – Baldwin-Wallace College senior midfielder Jeff Grater (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Senior College Men’s Scholar All-America Team. He will be honored at the annual NSCAA Convention in Baltimore, Maryland on January 15, 2011.
Grater, an accounting major who carries a 3.92 grade point average, finished his career in the Brown & Gold as a two-time NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region and three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) selection, including being named the 2010 OAC Midfielder of the Year. Grater is also a two-time Academic All-OAC selection and a two-time first-team ESPN Academic All-District IV player. In addition, he was the Most Valuable Player at this season’s SUNY-Fredonia (N.Y.) Tournament and led B-W to a team title.
After transferring to B-W after his freshman year at Calvin (Mich.) College, Grater led B-W to 37 victories the past three seasons. In his three seasons at B-W, he appeared in 62 games while tallying seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Grater had a career-best three goals and three assists last season. Grater also recorded 98 shots of which 38 of them were on goal. He is a Dean’s List student, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and is a Jacket Scholar.
