BEREA, OHIO – Baldwin-Wallace College junior midfielder Andy Synk (Strongsville) was named to the 2008 adidas/NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Great Lakes All-Region Team. Synk was tabbed as a third-team selection.
Synk, also a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference pick, finished third on the squad with 13 points and totaled a team and OAC-best nine assists this season. He also led the league with a 0.53 assists per game average. In addition, Synk was named a second-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV pick this fall.
The Yellow Jackets finished the 2008 campaign with a 12-6-1 record overall and won titles at both the Penn State Behrend (Pa.) College Tournament and at the Ohio Athletic Conference versus Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournaments.
