The Yellow Jacket Men's Golf Team Stands 10th After the First Day of the Ohio

Wesleyan Invitational Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team stands in 10th place of 16 teams after the first day of competition (Saturday, April 24) at the annual Ohio Wesleyan Invitational Tournament. The first round was played at the par-72, 6,889-yard Dornock Golf Course in Delaware, Ohio. The final 18 holes will take place tomorrow at the Oakhaven Golf Course in Delaware, Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets carded a first-day, 18-hole team total of 322 strokes. BW was led by senior Luke Sondej (Columbus/ Upper Arlington) with a 75, sophomores Rob Porter (Massillon Perry) and Bobby Santerre (Cincinnati LaSalle) with 82s and sophomore Gary Petit (Marietta) and freshman Ryan Petretti (Strongsville/ Cleveland St. Ignatius) had 83s.

The Yellow Jackets will next compete at the 2004 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Thursday and Friday, April 29-30 at the Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club in Greater Columbus.
