BW Menís Golf Teams Stands Tied for Fourth Place After First Day of OAC Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University menís golf teams stands tied for fourth place after the first day of competition at the 2008 Ohio Athletic Conference Golf Tournament at the Colonial Players Club in Harrod, Ohio. The second day of compedtition takes place tomorrow, Friday, April 25.

The Yellow Jackets totalled 325 strokes and are tied with Heidelberg College for fourth place. Mount Union College leads with a 307-stroke team total with Otterbein College second and host Ohio Northern University third.

Individually for BW, senior No.1 and All-OAC player Matt Lewis (Canal Fulton/ Northwest) had the top Yellow Jacket round with a 77 on the par-72 and 7,050-yard Colonial Golfers Club layout. Lewis was followed by sophomore Mike Falk (Strongsville) with an 81, senior Mike Jenior (Rootstown) with an 83, freshman Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars Area) with an 84 and senior Jesse Baird (Avon Lake) with an 85.

The winner of the OAC Tournament receives the OACís automatic berth to next weekís NCAA Division III National Tournament.
