SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON):   As a junior in 2011-12, Stephen is playing his third season of golf. As a sophomore in 2010-11, Stephen played in his second season of golf and earned his second varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW:  As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Stephen became a BW Jacket Scholar for maintaining a cumulative GPA above 3.5. As a junior in 2011-12, he was honored at the 2011-12 Student-Athlete & Faculty Recognition Luncheon for having the Highest Grade Point Average on the men's golf team (3.75).

2009-10 NOTES:  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Stephen played in his first season of golf and earned his first varsity letter. He finished the 2009 fall season with six rounds played in three tournaments. Stephen ended the fall season with a total of 461 strokes to give him an average of 76.83 per round. Stephen's best round came at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational Tournament where he shot a 74.  During the 2010 spring season, Stephen played in six tournaments for a total of 13 rounds.  He averaged 80.00 strokes per round, and his best-round of 76 came at the OAC Spring Invitational (rounds two and three) and at the Muskingum Invitational on the second day.

2010-11 NOTES:   As a sophomore in 2010-11, Stephen played his second season of golf and earned his second letter. During the 2010 Fall season, he played nine rounds of golf and averaged a team-low 76.0 strokes per round. Stephen shot a season-low of 74 at the Clarion (Pa.) University Tournament.  For his efforts on Sept. 13 he was named as the OAC Men's Golfer of the Week. During the 2011 spring season, Stephen played in five tournaments and 11 rounds and averaged 77.55 strokes per round. His best round of 72 came on the first day of the Denison University Ted Barclay Invitational Tournament. It also was the lowest round of any BW golfer that spring.

2011-12 NOTES:   As a junior in 2011-12, Stephen is playing in his third year of golf. During the fall 2011 season, he played in four tournaments and seven rounds and had the second lowest stroke average of 75.71. Stephen tied for the season-low with even par and career-low 71 at the John Carroll University Pat Flowers Invitational at Shaker Heights Country Club. For his efforts, he was awarded the OAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time in his career. In the spring of 2012, Stephen earned medalist honors at the Denison Ted Barclay Tournament by firing rounds of 74 and a tourney-low-tying 72 for a two-day and 36-hole total of 146 strokes. He subsequently earned his third OAC Men's Golfer of the Week award.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED) & HONORS and ACADEMIC HONORS:  Stephen played four seasons of golf and earned three varsity letters. As a senior in 2008-09, Stephen was the Walsh Jesuit Most Valuable Golfer.  Academically, Stephen earned High Honors all four years.
