Baldwin-Wallace College Freshman Tori Davis Named as the Ohio Athletic

Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Again

Tori_Davis.jpgBEREA, OHIO - For the second time this winter, Baldwin-Wallace College freshman basketball player Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door Christian School) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Davis earned the honor for his efforts last week in games against OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University and Muskingum College.

Davis scored a career-high 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots in a 97-91 loss to JCU lat Wednesday in Berea. He canned 10 of 13 shots from the floor and four of five foul shots. Davis also scored 18 points and had a career-high 13 rebounds in a 69-64 overtime win at Muskingum in New Concord on Saturday. He was also named as the OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week on December xx, 2003.

For the week, Davis canned 16 of 25 shots from the floor for 64 percent and 10 of 13 foul shots for 76.9 percent. He also had one assist, one steal and four blocked shots.

For the season, Davis is second on the Yellow Jacket squad in scoring with 13.8 points and rebounding with 8.1 rpg. as B-W is 10-5 overall and 5-3 in the OAC prior to its Wednesday home game against Heidelberg at 7:30 p.m.

In OAC stats, Davis' 13.8 ppg. ranks 13th and his 8.1 rpg. is third. He leads the OAC in blocked shots with 38 and is also shooting 56.9 percent from the floor (78 of 137) to rank third.
