Baldwin-Wallace College Sophomore Forward Tori Davis is Named as the Ohio

Athletic Conference Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO —Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore forward Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. It is the third time he has won the award in his brief two-year career and the first time this year.

Davis earned the honor for his efforts in leading B-W to wins against OAC rival Mount Union College, 74-71, last Wednesday (Jan. 5) and in a 97-90 double overtime win at Wilmington on Saturday (Jan. 8). For the week, Davis scored 50 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, passed for four assists, blocked four shots and had two steals. He canned 16-of-23 field goals for 69.6 percent and 18-of-28 free throws for 64.3 percent.

In B-W's win against Mt. Union, Davis scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, passed for three assists, blocked a shot and made a steal. He canned six-of-nine shots from the floor and nine-of-13 foul shots.

In the victory at Wilmington, Davis scored a career-high 29 points, grabbed eight rebounds, passed for an assist, blocked three shots and made a steal. His previous career-high was 26 points on two separate occassions.

For the season, Davis is scoring 18.6 points-per-game, grabbing 8.2 rebounds-per-game and has 25 blocked shots. He is shooting 62.7 percent from the floor (84-of-134) and 67.4 percent from the foul line (64-of-95). He additionally has 19 assists and 11 steals.

For his career (39 games), Davis has scored 594 points (15.2 ppg.), grabbed 307 rebounds (7.9 rpg.), blocked 81 shots and is shooting 59.4 percent from the floor (221-of-372) and 70.1 percent from the foul line (162-of-231).

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, January 12 when they host OAC-rival John Carroll University in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
