Baldwin-Wallace College Junior Forward Thad Davis is the OAC Men’s

Basketball Player-of-the-Week for the Third Time This Year

BEREA, OHIO - Baldwin-Wallace College junior forward Thad Davis (Elyria/Open Door Christian School) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this year. Davis earned the honor for his efforts in Yellow Jackets wins against Ohio Northern University (78-69) and Capital University (81-79). Davis is a key player for the Yellow Jackets, 18-5 overall and in first place in the OAC at 13-3.

Thad_Davis_Head_Shot.jpgIn the two victories last week, Davis canned 17 of 27 field goal attempts for 62.8 percent and 17 of 22 foul shots for 77.3 percent. He scored a total of 51 points and grabbed 26 rebounds. Davis also had two steals and two blocked shots.

For the season, Davis tops B-W in scoring at 19.4 points per game and in rebounding with an OAC-leading 10.5 rpg.

Davis earned OAC Player of the Week honors twice earlier this season, during the week of December 7-14, 2003 and the week of Jan. 18-25.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to University Heights to play OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University in a key OAC game at the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Cewnter at 7:30 pm. B-W is first in the OAC at 13-3 and JCU is second at 12-4. With a win, B-W would capture its first OAC regular season title since the 1978-79 season and its fifth OAC regular season crown in school history.
