Baldwin-Wallace College Freshman Forward Tori Davis Named as the OAC Men's

Basketball Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College freshman forward Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door Christian School) scored 31 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked nine shots and is this week’s Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. His efforts helped B-W to defeat Ohio Athletic Conference rivals Mount Union College (71-66) in Alliance on Wednesday and Marietta (90-83) in Berea on Saturday.

Tori Davis scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had six blocked shots in B-W’s win at Mt. Union. In the win against Marietta, he poured in a career-high 21 points, hauled in a game-high 12 rebounds and blocked three shots.

For the week, Tori Davis canned 11 of 17 shots from the floor for 64.3 percent and 9 of 12 foul shots for 75 percent. He is second on the team in scoring at 14.1 points per game, second in rebounding at 8.6 rpg. and second in blocked shots (19).

Tori’s older brother, junior All-OAC forward, Thad Davis, last week’s OAC Player of the Week, leads the team in scoring at 19.1 ppg. and leads the OAC in rebounds at 11.4 rpg. and blocks with 20.

B-W is 7-2 overall and tied for first place in the OAC with a 3-1 league mark. The Yellow Jackets next play on Monday, December 29, when they travel to Wooster, Ohio to participate in the first day of The College of Wooster Mose Hole Tournament. B-W plays third-ranked Hanover (Ind.) College, 8-0 overall, in the first round at 6:00 p.m.
