BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore forward Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door Christian School) has been named to this week's D3hoops.com internet web site "Team of the Week". Earlier this season, Tori's older brother, senior forward Thad Davis, this year's Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year" was named to the team.
Last week, in three OAC Tournament games, Tori helped lead the Yellow Jackets to their third OAC Tournament crown since 1996 as he made 28-of-37 field goal attempts for 75.7 percent, 23-of-26 free throws for 88.5 percent, grabbed 31 rebounds and blocked eight shots as B-W beat Otterbein (78-76 in O.T.), Mount Union (85-50) and John Carroll (82-77). In the Otterbein game, Tori Davis scored a career-high 41 points, including the game-winning basket with 1.2 seconds left in the game. He is averaging 18.7 ppg. and 8.7 rpg.
Tomorrow night, Tori and Thad Davis will lead the Yellow Jackets into a first round NCAA Division III Tournament game at The College of Wooster at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen to that game locally on B-W campus radio station WBWC, 88.3 FM, or via the College internet web site at www.bw.edu/athletics.
