BEREA, OHIO -- Senior guard Jon Carroll (Berea/Midpark) scored 23 points and led fiveBaldwin-Wallace College starters in double figures as the Yellow Jackets beat Ohio Athletic Conferenc rival Wilmington College, 100-75, at the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium Gymnasium in Berea. The win was B-W's third straight.
With the win, B-W improved to 10-7 overall and 6-4 in the OAC. With its loss, Wilmington dropped to 3-14 overall and 1-9 in the OAC and lost for the sixth straight time.
In addition to Carroll, senior forward Shawn McCormick (Massillon/Jackson) scored 18 points, sophomores Tom Harrington (Parma/Holy Name) and Thad Davis (Elyria/Open Door) each had 14 points and junior forward Eric Reminder (Brunswick) had 13 points. Freshman guard Josh Rohrbacher led four Wilmington players in double figures with 13 points.
In the first half, B-W led by as many as 18 points at 45-27 with two seconds left before halftime when Carroll canned a three-pointer. In the second half, B-W extended its lead to as many as 30 points at 6:15 with 85-55 left in the game when freshman forward Mark Belkofer (Millbury/Genoa) canned a foul shot.
B-W returns to action on Wednesday, January 29, when it travels to Alliance to play OAC rival Mount Union College at the Timken Physical Education Center at 7:30 p.m.

The Pregame Notes -- The Baldwin-Wallace College Yellow Jacket men's basketball team will look to win its third straight game as it hosts Wilmington in the first game of the second half of the OAC regular season.
The Yellow Jackets enter this game with a 9-7 overall and 5-4 OAC record following their 67-57 win against Heidelberg College last Wednesday at the Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin. B-W also beat Muskingum College last Saturday in Berea, 78-64.
Wilmington enters this game with a 3-13 overall and 1-8 OAC record following its 86-69 loss against Capital Wednesday in Wilmington. The loss was Wilmington’s fifth straight.
The Baldwin-Wallace vs. Wilmington All-Time Series -- This is the 11th meeting between Baldwin-Wallace and Wilmington in men's basketball. B-W leads the all-time series, 6-4, including a 73-71, last-second win this season (on December 14) in Wilmington. The Quakers won both games last year.

The Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders -- After 16 games, Shawn McCormick leads the team in scoring at 20.1 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding at 5.5 rebounds per game. He also leads the team in free-throw shooting at 86.9 percent (53 of 61 attempts) and with 31 steals. Thad Davis is second in scoring at 15.9 ppg. and leads the team in rebounding with 7.0 rpg and 22 blocked shots. Jon Carroll is third on the team in scoring at 14.4 ppg. and leads the team with 70 assists. Eric Reminder is fourth in scoring at 8.0 ppg. and third in rebounding with 4.9 rpg. Tom Harrington is fifth in scoring at 7.6 ppg. second in assists (63) and second in steals (25). Keith Aufmuth is the top scorer off the bench and is averaging 3.3 ppg and is shooting a team-leading 57.1 percent from "three-point land" (8 of 14).
Scouting the Quakers of Wilmington College-- Look for Head Coach Scott Stemple to start 5'11" sophomore David Guy, 6'2" senior guard Adam Weber and 5'11" senior guard Dave Hudson in the backcourt. In the post, look for 6'6" senior forward Greg Liggens and 6'5" freshman forward Stephen Gee to start. Off the bench, look for Head Coach Scott Stemple to play Josh Rohrbacher and Mike Umpleby in the backcourt and 6'5" junior forward Will Bruce and 6'5" sophomore forward Deon Short in the middle.
In Wilmington's Last Game on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 versus Capital in Wilmington, Ohio: Capital-- 86, Wilmington -- 69-- The Quakers lost their fifth straight game and dropped to 3-13overall and 1-8 in the OAC with an 86-69 loss to Capital at the Fred Raizk in Wilmington. Despite the loss, Wilmington was led in scoring by freshman forward Stephen Gee and senior guard Dave Hudson with career-highs of 19 and 16 points, respectively. Also, junior forward Will Bruce scored 11 points. A key in the loss was Capital outrebounding Wilmington, 48-27.
The Quaker Statistical Leaders -- After 16 games, Wilmington is led in scoring and rebounding by senior center Greg Liggens with 11.1 ppg. and 6.8 rpg. He is also first with 14 blocked shots. Stephen Gee is second in scoring at 8.8 ppg. in 15 games and has 18 three-pointers. Will Bruce and David Guy are tied for third in scoring at 7.9 ppg. Guy also has a team-leading 23 treys. Adam Weber is fifth in scoring at 6.5 ppg. and has 21 three-pointers. Dave Hudson scores 4.5 ppg. and top s the team with 32 assists.
McCormick is Fourth All-Time in Scoring at B-W -- Senior three-time All-OAC forward Shawn McCormick (Massillon Jackson) scored 20 points in a 67-57 win on Wednesday against Heidelberg and moved into fourth place on the all-time scoring list with 1,666 points. The top three all-time leading scorers are Dean Martin (1969-73) with 2,062 points, Kevin Braaten (1993-97) with 1,867 points and Bob Walters (1959-63) with 1,840 points.
Carroll Moving Toward 1,000-Point Club -- Senior two-time Academic All-OAC guard Jon Carroll (Berea/ Midpark) enters tonight’s game with Heidelberg with 960 career points . Carroll needs 40 more points to become the 27th player to join the Yellow Jacket 1,000-Point Club.
